It popped in glorious bright colours on the screen and it wasn’t ashamed to be garish or celebrate the fact that Superman himself was a symbol of hope, which feels heavily borrowed from the ethos of the original two Superman movies, but pitched just right for the small screen. And it was fun, silly and fun and often over the top and ridiculous.
